Co-created with Alphonso Davies
Roket Gear was built with Alphonso Davies to meet the demands of real athletes. His input helped shape the fit, feel, and performance of the gear so it could stand up to the way elite players actually train and move.
How to train with it
Start light. For the first two weeks, use about half the default weight, just enough to barely notice it while keeping your movement natural. Once the load feels easy and controlled, add ¼ to ½ lb every 2 to 3 weeks. Small, steady increases help your body adapt and build strength without rushing the process.

How it works

Add your load. Strap it on. Train hard.

Roket Gear pocket design with steel weights 01

The weights

Slide ¼ lb steel bars into the pockets and place the load exactly where you want it.

Patented fitted Roket Gear shell 02

The fitted shell

A patented shell-and-strap design wraps securely around your leg to help prevent sliding and bounce while you move.

Athlete training in Roket Gear 3S mode 03

3S training mode

Build strength, speed and stamina at once, while you run your real drills.

Backed by science

Tested at the University of Calgary Human Performance Lab

Independent testing measured athletes moving with added load on each leg. The results showed that the added resistance did not alter natural movement: knee and hip angles stayed consistent, and athletes maintained their speed. That means you can train the exact mechanics your sport demands, under load, without building bad habits.

Athlete training in Roket Gear

Break through training plateaus

Add load to the movements you already train. Push past the limits of bodyweight drills and keep building strength, speed, and power.

Functional by design

Resistance that moves with you, not against you. Train the way you actually play, with load added to your real sport-specific movement.

Support return to training

Rebuild conditioning gradually with adjustable load you control. Add resistance a quarter pound at a time and work back toward game shape at your own pace.

Easy to adjust

Custom stainless steel weights start at ¼ lb and can be repositioned in seconds, so you can adjust the load for the session in front of you.

Frequently asked questions

Will the added weight change my technique?
No, and that's the whole point. Independent testing at the University of Calgary Human Performance Lab showed that athletes maintained their natural movement patterns under load, with knee and hip angles staying consistent. You train your real movement, just with added resistance.
How much weight should I start with?
Start with about half the default weight for your size for the first two weeks. The load should feel light, almost barely noticeable, so your body can adapt before you add more.
How do I progress over time?
Add ¼ to ½ lb every 2 to 3 weeks, once the current load feels easy and controlled. Small, steady increases help build strength and speed without rushing the process.
What sports is it for?
Roket Gear is built for any sport powered by your legs: hockey, soccer, basketball, running, training, and more. You control the load and resistance to match how you train and play.
How do I choose my size?
Use the size guide in the product details near the top of this page. Leg shapes vary, so if you fall between two sizes, we recommend sizing up.
How do I care for it?
Remove the weight bars after training, wipe the shell down, and let it air dry before storing. Keeping the gear dry between sessions helps protect both the shell and the steel.
